It’s true!

Barnes & Noble’s Android-powered e-reader, the Nook, is officially available at Best Buy. Unfortunately, the in-store pickup option is a no-go, so that means you’ll have to trek over to your local big-blue-box for instant gratification.

And while the foot traffic Best Buy attracts certainly heightens the Nook’s profile, the fact that the iPad is available a few aisles down might hurt its chances among gadget buyers that wouldn’t mind dropping a couple more c-notes for a device that does a fair bit more than display e-books (Though in fairness, the Nook has a couple multimedia tricks up its sleeve, but only a few.)
