Shedding some plastic in game cases isn’t the only way video game makers are going green. Ubisoft has announced that the company is going to stop the practice of including game manuals with its Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 games. It’s not surprising, considering that most games guide players during the opening campaigns, missions, plays, etc…
For Ubisoft, it’s certainly one way to cut costs, and of course, make shipping games a slightly greener proposition (some manuals can weigh as much, if not more, than a game disc). The first game to get the non-manual treatment will be Shaun White Skateboarding, in case you’re wondering. Expect other game publishers to follow suit.
