Infographic: Your tax dollars at work. For oil, gas and coal companies, that is.
1BOG has cooked up another compelling infographic that illustrates how the odds are stacked against clean energy companies, particularly solar. Every year, the fossil fuel industry (oil, gas and coal) gets billions in subsidies and tax incentives from the U.S. government — over $500 for each taxpayer over 5 years, while a little more than $7 goes toward advancing solar. And that’s just the start.
If clean energy companies got the same treatment, our energy mix would look a lot different and our nation’s carbon emissions would be significantly lower. It’s an argument that Tom Rooney, President and CEO of SPG Solar, continues to drive home. Now 1BOG’s pixelsmiths do a wonderful job of illustrating what a clean energy future can look like if solar were on equal footing.

advantages of solar power says
I am from Germany living in Texas and I was surprised that one of the most powerful nations in the world is ignoring the potential of solar energy.. Going green, using solar and alternative energy, recycling (btw one of the strongest markets in Germany, our government makes billions by reselling recycled material) is our future and needs to be subsidized.
